Assistance during inspections

Assistance during inspections

The fire department has the duty and authority to inspect specific objects. This duty is regulated in Section 13 of the Fire and Explosion Protection Act.

When the fire department comes for a notified inspection, many building owners want assistance from a fire consultant who knows the building’s requirements and safety routines.

Matters we can assist you as an owner with may include:

  • Be present during the inspection itself
  • Review the inspection report and check the basis for authorization
  • Propose a progress plan for when and how non-conformities should be closed
  • Assist in dialogue with the fire department during the entire inspection process - from notification of inspection to closing the last non-conformity
