Assistance during inspections

The fire department has the duty and authority to inspect specific objects. This duty is regulated in
§ 13 of the Fire and Explosion Protection Act.

When the fire department comes for a notified inspection, many building owners want assistance from a fire safety consultant who knows the building’s requirements and safety routines.

Matters we can assist you as an owner with may include:

  • Be present during the inspection itself
  • Review the inspection report and check the basis for the mandate
  • Propose a progress plan for when and how non-conformities should be closed
  • Assist in dialogue with the fire department during the entire inspection process - from notification of inspection to closing the last non-conformity
