This privacy policy applies to the use of the website www.pid-solutions.no (hereinafter the “website”) and the services offered by PiD Solutions AS in connection with the collection of information via the website.

Purpose of Collecting Personal Data

We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:

Administration and follow-up of inquiries: To efficiently process and respond to your questions sent via forms.

How Long We Process Your Personal Data

We store your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or to comply with legal obligations.

Inquiries: Data related to support inquiries is stored as long as a contractual relationship exists between PiD Solutions and the customer the inquiry is related to, to ensure history and documentation. Data related to contact inquiries is stored until the inquiry has been fully processed.

Cookies/Analysis: Data collected via cookies (such as Google Analytics) is stored in accordance with the vendor’s guidelines and terms.

PiD Solutions’ Role as Data Processor

This section describes the distribution of responsibility between us as the data processor and our software service customers as the controller in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and GDPR.

When PiD Solutions delivers and operates systems such as PiD Drift, PiD Drift Mobile, and PiD Kurs, we process personal data on behalf of our customers. In this context, the roles of PiD Solutions and the customer are defined as follows:

Role Definition Responsibility
The Customer Data Controller Has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the processing is lawful, and determines the purpose of the data processing (e.g., which employees/course participants are registered).
PiD Solutions Data Processor Only processes personal data according to the customer’s needs and in accordance with the privacy legislation applicable to data processors.

PiD Solutions and Customer Obligations

PiD Solutions (Data Processor) commits to:

  • Processing the data confidentially, securely, and in accordance with the entered data processing agreement.
  • Assisting the Data Controller (the customer) in fulfilling the rights of the data subjects and security requirements.
  • Informing the customer if we believe an instruction is in violation of privacy legislation.

The Customer (Data Controller) commits to:

  • Having a legal basis for processing all personal data entered into our systems.
  • Ensuring that data subjects (own employees/users) have received sufficient information about the processing.
  • Entering into and maintaining a valid Data Processing Agreement with PiD Solutions that regulates the processing of personal data.
