Basic course in fire protection

Basic course in fire protection

The basic course in fire protection is intended to provide a brief introduction to fire protection for all employees. The primary goal is to focus on fire protection and fire protection work. We believe this is best done through repeated information. The course must therefore be repeated regularly.

The course contains information about who is responsible for the different parts of fire protection on the specified property. It is important that each employee understands both their own role in this work, and at the same time that they are aware of who to report any deviations to.

All buildings have a number of technical devices that are intended to prevent a fire from having dramatic consequences. A prerequisite for these to work is that those staying in the building do not inadvertently put them out of action. The basic course in fire protection therefore addresses how each employee must relate to fire doors, escape routes and sprinkler systems.

What do you do if the fire alarm goes off? This depends on how the fire protection is organized in the individual building. The course addresses the local fire instructions that can also be found in PiD Drift.

To keep the courses as specific as possible, we have chosen to differentiate between basic fire safety courses for different building types, based on the activity that takes place there. We have basic fire safety courses for:

  • Shopping malls
  • Hotels and restaurants
  • Industrial buildings
  • Commercial buildings (office buildings)

We also create tailor-made basic courses where necessary.

The basic courses can be advantageously reinforced with special courses for people with extended responsibilities (e.g. department managers or store managers).
